Narrative: 

On Friday, May 1, 2026, Officer Romero and I, Officer Souza, were dispatched to an assault at 40 Holland Street.

Dispatch described a white male wearing a black hoodie with yellow lettering. Officer Bitencourt responded and stated he saw someone running. I went to Seven Hills Park, where I found a male matching that description curled up in a ball in the corner next to the bike rentals. I noticed his knuckles were red. I attempted to speak with the party, later identified as Sean Lee, but then he started to run. Officer S. Costa was on scene, and we began chasing him. While running away, Mr. Lee fell, sustaining a laceration to his eyebrow. We caught up to and attempted to subdue Mr. Lee. I told Mr. Lee to calm down several times. He did not listen. He then kicked Officer S. Costa several times. We were able to place Mr. Lee in handcuffs and place him under arrest. Mr. Lee still attempted to pull away from us and go limp to avoid going to the ambulance. Mr. Lee refused to give any information on the incident.

Officer Romero spoke with the victim, XXXX. Mr. XXXX stated that Mr. Lee, the defendant, started arguing with him for no reason. Mr. Lee then tried to spill a drink on Mr. XXXX. Mr. XXXX walked away. Mr. Lee then ran up to and punched Mr. XXXX, causing him to lose consciousness and fall to the ground. Mr. XXXX sustained a laceration on his lower lip. I have attached a photo of Mr. XXXX injuries.

Cataldo was called for both parties. Mr. XXXX was transported to Mass General Hospital. Mr. Lee was transported to Cambridge Hospital under Somerville police custody. While being checked out by the EMTs, Mr. Lee attempted to kick XXXX, one of the EMTs, but missed.

I followed up with Mr. XXXX at Mass General Hospital. He confirmed the details given to Officer Romero.
