Narrative: 

On 5/8/26 I was working Patrol in cruiser E1 on an evening shift. At around 1557 OFC R Lavey JR (E4) and I were sent to 149 Broadway for a male who pulled a weapon on another male. Dispatch informed us that the parties involved were XXXX and XXXX. Both parties are known to SPD.

We arrived and spoke to the victim; Mr. XXXX (V1.) He reports he was walking by the suspect, later to be identifed as Mr. F Rasate-Reyes in front of the Santander Bank at Michigan/Broadway when V1 pulled the knife on him. V1 retreated into the church at 149 Broadway where staff there called 911. V1 said the knife was "black" in color.

We found the suspect in front of the East End Grill, across the street from Santander. He was placed into cuffs and pat frisked. He had a black knife on his person. I tried to obtain any video from Santander but they could not provide any at the time. I spoke to their main security office who said they do not have video of the front entrance. I gave them my email and asked them to send me any video they may have facing the front door between 1545-1557.

I placed Mr. Rasate-Reyes under arrest for one count of ADW. He was transported and booked in the usual manner. The weapon was logged into evidence.
