SOMERVILLE OFFICERS RECEIVE MEDAL OF VALOR

The Massachusetts Police Association (MPA) recognized Somerville Police Officers and awarded them the Medal of Valor for their acts of heroism during a hostage situation that occurred on August 6, 2020.

25065663: On 10/21/25 at approximately 12:19 PM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Lincoln St for report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated someone broke into her residence and stole cash and jewelry.

25064383: On 10/15/25 at approximately 2:40 PM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Broadway for report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the residents who stated a male party entered their apartment and stole numerous belongings.
