Narrative:

This is a summary of the event that occurred during incidents #2603549 and 26035680. Please refer to both reports for further details.

On Monday, June 1, 2026, I Officer Pasqualino and Morel were working our assigned 4PM to 12 AM shift in the West Somerville District. At approximately 5:52 Officers Pavao and McAloney responded to 60 Bradley St for an assist. In reference to the prior report the owner/victim of the house Mr. XXXX wanted police presence in order to change the locks of his residence without having an altercation with the resident of 62 Bradley St. During this incident, I spoke to the realtor XXXX and obtained further details in regards to the information she received from the anonymous party.

Officer Pavao contacted us in order to inquire about the stolen items from the house, once the Gold Rhino statue was mentioned, Officer Pavao stated that he had eyes on the stolen item inside a Red Ford Explorer, bearing MA Reg# XXXX, which was registered to XXXX. I'd like to note that Mr. Tardo had possession of the keys that belonged to the Ford Explorer bearing MA Reg# XXXX, and in the earlier incident #26035680 Mr. Tardo claimed ownership of the vehicle and allowed officers to retrieve the "Redfin" sign from the trunk.

Officer Morel and I responded to the address and observed the stolen items resting in the rear floor board behind the passenger seat. We made our way to 62 Bradley and spoke to the residents. We asked to speak to Mr. Tardo who exited the residence. I asked if he could return the gold rhino that was inside his vehicle, he began to say that he did not know what we were talking about and he had just purchased the vehicle. Officer McAloney asked if he had a bill of sale and he said he could retrieve it front the vehicle. We than asked if he could open the doors so we could retrieve the rhino. He unlocked the passenger side door and told Officer Pavao to press the unlock button. At this point the rhino was retrieved and returned to the owner, Mr. XXXX. Mr. Tardo was placed under arrest, handcuffed behind his back (DL). I requested for the prisoner transport unit #200 which was operated by Officer Dottin whom transported Mr. Tardo to Headquarters where he was booked in the usual manner by Shift Commander Sgt. Campers.

I will be filling the following chargers against Mr. Tardo;

- C. h. 266 / S. 60 / B. RECEIVE STOLEN PROPERTY -$1200.

Respectfully Submitted;

Officer Pasqualino
