Narrative: On September 23, 2026, I, Officer Joshua Benson, alongside my Field Training Officer, Keighla McAloney were assigned to marked unit East-4. At approximately 8:00 PM, we responded to TJ Maxx, 105 Middlesex Ave., for a report of a shoplifting. Detective T. Lambert, (East-1) was already on scene and requested Unit-200, operated by Officer T. Sullivan and Cataldo Ambulance. Sergeant Campers, (Sierra-8) also responded.
Upon arrival, Officer McAloney and I found Detective T. Lambert outside of TJ Maxx with an individual detained, later identified as Mr. Gregory Natale. Mr. Natale complained of chest pain and a bladder problem. Loss prevention staff indicated that Mr. Natale had placed miscellaneous clothing items, valued at $215 dollars into a backpack. Mr. Natale then exited the store with this merchandise, without payment. Loss prevention was able to stop him outside the store doors.
Mr. Natale was placed under arrest for the charge of SHOPLIFTING BY CONCEALING MDSE, 3RD OFF., c266 S30A. Mr. Natale was transported via Cataldo Ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital to be medically evaluated. Detective T. Lambert rode in the ambulance with Mr. Natale and Cataldo staff.
Respectfully,
Officer Joshua Benson #393
