• B AND E NIGHTTIME FOR FELONY 

Narrative: 

On Friday, May 22, 2026, I, Officer Souza, responded to an alarm going off at 81 Holland Street (Dave's Fresh Pasta).

Upon arrival, I saw a white male exiting Dave's Fresh Pasta with a bag full of items. As I exited my cruiser, the same white male, later identified as Jace Palmer, dropped the bag and started running. I yelled, "Police stop!" PALMER did not stop running. I chased PALMER down Holland Street as he took a right on Simpson Avenue. I kept telling him to stop running, but he did not stop. He got onto Corinthian Road and reached Broadway.

PALMER tried to hide under a parked UHAUL truck on Broadway. As other units responded, I told PALMER to show me his hands with my weapon at the low ready. At no point did I point my weapon at PALMER. Officer Lentini and Officer Goodnow were able to handcuff PALMER.

I returned to Dave's Fresh Pasta to pick up the bag PALMER dropped. In the bag were several food items, all different types of pasta, as well as a bottle of wine. I checked the doors for signs of a break. One of the doors was not secured. No damage was done to the doors. I tried to contact the key holder. There was no response at that time. All values of the items PALMER took are approximate. We were unable to obtain the exact value of all the items.
