Narrative:
On August 23rd, 2026 at 3:44pm, while assigned to East 2, I responded to a report of a dispute at 101 South Street. The reporting party stated they witnessed a male and female arguing and that it got physical. E3 Officer Lorenti and K9 Fluff responded as backup. Upon arrival, I spoke with the RP XXXX who witnessed the event. XXXX stated that a white female wearing a black t-shirt and baseball cap was arguing with a white male with long dark curly hair wearing a tan shirt. XXXX stated during the argument he saw the male strike the female with his hand multiple times. He stated this happened on the side walk in front of South Street Farm. XXXX then showed a video on his phone of the male walking away after the argument. XXXX also stated he has seen numerous people in the past week going in and out of the vacant lot next to South Street Farm through a whole in the fence. He believed they were storing items or living in the vacant lot. I found the female involved in the vacant lot next to South Street Farm. The female is known to me as XXXX. XXXX appeared upset and looked like she had been crying. I also noticed swelling starting to develop around the left side of her face next to her eye. I asked XXXX what happened, and she stated that she is currently homeless and has been storing her belongings in the vacant lot. She stated she was there today because she was moving belongings around so they did not get wet from the recent rain. While she was sorting her belongings, an unknown male with long curly hair came into the lot asking about a blue suitcase that belonged to him that he had stored in the lot as well. XXXX stated to the male that she did not know where his suitcase is. The male became angry and took a knife out of his pocket and demanded XXXX show him where his suitcase is. XXXX began looking for the suitcase but had no idea of its whereabouts. XXXX stated the male then slapped her then punched her twice in the face with one hand while holding onto the knife with the other. I asked XXXX to describe the knife, she stated "It was a black Husky Knife, not a utility knife but one that folds out." I asked XXXX if she knows who this male is and if she knew where he went? She stated that she saw him yesterday for the first time but does not know his name and said that he ran down Willow Street into Cambridge when he saw the Police come. At this time, Officer Lorenti informed me that the male returned and he was speaking with him in front of South Street Farm. XXXX followed me back to the sidewalk and confirmed that was the male that assaulted her. I asked the male(later identifed as Dante Grey) if had any weapons on him. Grey stated that he did have a knife in right pocket. I checked Grey's right pocket and found a black and brown Husky pocket knife that folded out. I then asked Grey what he and XXXX were arguing about. Grey stated "She stole my shit, I don't want to say anymore." I then informed Grey he was under arrest and placed him in handcuffs. Grey was then transported in Unit 200 by Station Officer Hartsgrove back to the station and then booked in the usual manner by Lieutenant Kim. The knife was confiscated and logged into evidence. Dante Grey will be charged with the following: 1 Count 265/15B/A ASSAULT W/DANGEROUS WEAPON c265 S15B 1 Count 265/13A/B A&B c265 S13A Respectfully submitted, Officer Ryan Sullivan Badge #357
