On Saturday, December 27th 2025, while working patrol in marked cruiser, West 6, I was dispatched to a possible road rage incident.

Upon my arrival, I was met by Mr. XXXX. Mr. XXXX was standing next to his silver Jeep Cherokee. As I approached I could see the the rear glass trunk window on the vehicle had been shattered. Mr. XXXX stated that he was driving down Willow Ave. and while crossing over Highland Ave. with the green light, a driver, Mr. Anthony Dunams, in a silver sedan sped out infront of him cutting him off. Mr. XXXX was forced to jam on his brakes to avoid an accident. During the incident Mr. XXXX beeped his horn at Mr. Dunams. Mr. Dunams continued to pull in front of Mr. XXXX and travel down Willow Ave.

Mr. XXXX stated he needed to turn down Kidder Ave. and while approaching the street, noticed Mr. Dunams turning onto Kidder ave as well. As Mr. XXXX was making the turn he noticed Mr. Dunams jam on his brakes, put the vehicle in park, and exit the vehicle holding a small baseball bat. Mr. XXXX stated that Mr. Dunams continued towards his vehicle and while Mr. XXXX tried to drive past, Mr. Dunams swung his baseball bat, shattering his back window. At this time Mr. XXXX pulled up the road and called 911.

Mr. Dunams stated that he believed Mr. XXXX to be driving aggressively. As Mr. Dunams turned onto Kidder Ave. he noticed Mr. XXXX doing the same. He stated at this point he decided to grab his bat and give Mr. XXXX "what he had coming". I asked what that meant and Mr. Dunams stated he smashed out his back window with the baseball bat.

Mr. Dunams was placed under arrest and transported back to the Somerville Police Department by 200.
