On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, I, Officer Keighla McAloney was assigned marked unit East-1. At approximately,  4:58 PM, I was dispatched to 149 Broadway, Connexion for a report of a sick person, a male wanted to go to the hospital.

On scene, Somerville Fire Department and Cataldo Ambulance were attempting to provide medical assistance to a male, later identified as Mr. Javier COREA. I observed COREA exhibiting signs of intoxication, with his head hanging down and unresponsive to verbal questioning, he required sternum rubs to regain responsiveness. Multiple witnesses stated COREA had consumed beer and smoked marijuana at some point today.

Cataldo Ambulance notified me that COREA was not responding to their questions therefore, he needed to go to the hospital. At this point I advised COREA, to which threw his body up and clenched his fist but stated, "lets go". COREA maintained an angry and loud demeanor the entire incident. With help from Cataldo Ambulance COREA was placed in the stretcher and into the back of the ambulance.

COREA began to kick and scream while the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) attempted to take his vitals and blood pressure. At one point, COREA ripped the Blood Pressure Monitor off breaking the cuff off and throwing it at my chest. I then handcuffed COREA to the stretcher and advised him he was under arrest. Sergeant Ducasse, (Sierra-9) and Officer Ruf, (East-4) now on scene.

I rode in the back of the ambulance to Cambridge Hospital, while Sergeant Ducasse followed. Once at the hospital it was determined that COREA did not want to be there. Dr. XXXX stated that "if he could take a few steps, then he was fine to leave."

Unit 200, operated by Officer Romero, was requested to respond to Cambridge Hospital. COREA was transported back to Somerville Police Headquarters and booked by Lt. Anderson.
