On July 14, 2025, I Officer Walter Collette, while working the traffic grant, was monitoring vehicle speed in the area of 185 College Avenue, a public way in the city of Somerville.

I observed a motor vehicle driving northbound and estimated its speed and confirmed with my vehicle mounted RADAR unit to be traveling at 34 mph. College Avenue has "20 mph Safety Zone" signs posted on both ends of College Avenue.

I signaled the vehicle over to stop and observed it was a 2005 Black Toyota Prius, Massachusetts Registration #XXXX.  The MA RMV confirmed being owned by Mr. Jose De Anchieta Pacheco Filho, and that his status to operated has been suspended. Mr. Pacheco Filho also had a Massachusetts Warrant, Docket number 2386CR000414, for Unlicensed operation and equipment violations.

I spoke to the operator and confirmed that it was in fact Mr. Pacheco Filho operating, I informed him that he was going to placed under arrest for the following charges;

1.Operating a MV after License Suspended, Subsq Offense, c90s23 and

2.Speeding, basic, c90s17

Mr. Pacheco Filho was transported to The Somerville Police station  by Officer Khoury and booked by Lieutenant Holland.

His MV was towed by Stephen's tow for safe keeping.
