On August 26, 2025, at approximately 1:31 PM, I, Officer Thomas Lambert was assigned to East-1 during the 8AM-4PM shift. I was dispatched to 105 Middlesex Avenue (TJ MAXX) for a shoplifter. The individual was described as a heavy white female wearing a pink polo shirt and actively filling up kids clothing while getting ready to leave the store. East-4 Officer Jorge Morel and his partner, Officer Guylerna Pierre responded as well.

Upon my arrival, I spoke with the Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) out front of the store who stated the female was filling up bags and a laundry basket. The female matching the description given to dispatch, later identified as Ms. Erica Walton crossed all points of purchase without any attempt to pay for the items. I stopped Ms. Walton at the front entrance of the store with $635.97 worth of merchandise.

Unit 200, Officer Matthew Khoury transported Ms. Walton back to Somerville Police Headquarters where she was booked in the usual manner by the shift commander, Sergeant Wolff Berrouet.

Ms. Walton is being charged with the following:
