On 09/11/2025, while assigned to marked unit East-4, while assigned to marked unit East-4, I responded to Assembly Row with Sierra-9 (Sergeant Van Nostrand) for reports of a shoplifter from Athleta. Sergeant Van Nostrand informed me that he had seen the female, described by the store as a white female in a grey hat, grey tank top, and black spandex walking down the street. The store also informed dispatch the female had a red bag that she was carrying.
Sergeant Van Nostrand located the female, then identified as Ms. Stacey Cameron. She was located at 500 Assembly Row. Sergeant Van Nostrand was speaking to Ms. Cameron who insisted that she had paid for all of the items that she had with her. Inside her red bag was 3 pairs of Lulu Lemon pants a pair of Pants from Athleta, along with her personal belongings. Later a replica firearm (BB gun) would be located in there as well. Ms. Cameron insisted that she brought the clothing with her. Once the BB gun was found I placed Ms. Cameron into handcuffs (DL) and read her Miranda Rights from a card I keep in my pocket. I went into the store and spoke to the RP, Ms, XXXX. Ms. XXXX showed me video of the incident.
Ms. Cameron enters the store and during her stay in side of Athleta she selects several items, including the grey Joggers. She at one points drops one item and while picking it up conceals the grey pants in her bag. She then makes her way to the register and pays for another item. She leaves the store, bypassing all points of sale and making no attempt to pay for the item concealed in her bag.
The three Lulu Lemon pants that were in her possession still had the security tags on them. Ms. Cameron stated that she had purchased the pants and was going to sell them to a friend. When asked when she purchased them and why she wouldn't return them for a refund she could not answer them. I have reached out to Corporate Security for Lulu Lemon to see if they have any reports of these items being stolen. I will update and amend should they be found to have not been paid for. Until then they will be placed into safe keeping unless Ms. Cameron can present a receipt for the items. The BB gun will be marked for destruction.
A Criminal complaint will be filed for Shoplifting by Asportation.
Respectfully submitted,
Officer Christopher Fusco #328
