On Saturday October 18, 2025, I Officer Guylerna Pierre working my assigned shift of 4 pm to 12 am in East-2. At approximately 5:08 pm I responded to Marshalls (14 McGrath Hwy), for a shoplifter along with Officer Priscilla Ribeiro. Several other Officers responded as well. The following is a summary of the incident:

Officer Edna DaCosta who was doing a detail at the Twin City Mall stated that she observed three females enter Marshalls. Around 30 minutes later, she observed one of the females, later identified as Ms. Kelli Price, exit the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise that was not in shopping bags. When she exited the store, several people exited behind her and watched her leave with the items, causing Officer DaCosta's attention to the drawn in that direction. It should also be noted that Marshalls shopping carts are not allowed to be removed from the store. Officer DaCosta stopped Ms. Price in the parking lot and asked her what she was doing with the cart full of items. Ms. Price then tried to take off running. Officer DaCosta grabbed Ms. Price by the arm and called over the radio for backup. While waiting for backup, Ms. Price told Officer DaCosta that she stole the items.

Upon our arrival, we were met by Officer DaCosta and Ms. Price. Ms. Price was yelling out "I steal, that's what I do." We confirmed with Marshalls that Ms. Price did not make any attempt to pay for the items in her cart and that she passed all points of sale, exiting the store with the unpaid merchandise in her cart.

The total of the items in Ms. Price's cart came out $409.89. The items consisted of female clothing, shoes, purse, and headphones.

I placed Ms. Price in handcuffs and placed under arrest for Massachusetts General Law C.266 s.30: Larceny under. She was transported to the station by Officer Fernando Cicerone, and booked by Sergeant Jason Costa.

Respectfully Submitted,

Officer Guylerna Pierre
