On Tuesday September 9, 2025 at approximately 0748 hours Officer S Garcia (West-7) and I, Officer Lentini (West-6), were dispatch to 18 Holland St, (Kindercare Daycare Center) for an indecent exposure. Upon arrival we spoke with the reporting party, XXXX, who stated one of her employees reported seeing an older male, Later identified at Dale VALIDO, sitting on the bench outside 18 Holland St pleasuring himself. Ms. XXXX had another employee get the victim who was inside.

               We then spoke with XXXX who stated she was on her way into work, walking on the sidewalk in a heavily trafficked area of Davis Sq, when she looked to her left and saw VALIDO standing by a brick post with his penis in his hand masturbating. Ms. XXXX said she saw VALIDO either stroking or shaking his genitalia. Ms. XXXX stated she was shocked by the acts VALIDO was doing and did not know what to do. She believed VALIDO saw her notice what he was doing and tried to get his clothes on while she walked to the door of her work. Ms. XXXX stated she became very angry and attempted to record VALIDO but by the time she got her phone out he was already clothed and sitting on the bench. Ms. XXXX was angry while talking with officers and some of her coworkers tried to calm her down.

               I then made my way to VALIDO who was still sitting down on the bench where the video was taken.

               This bench is connected to the Davis Sq Red Line Station, directly across from a Blue Bike parking station, partially connected to the bike path, within view of Kindercare's main entrance, and faced directly towards Holland St. This is also an area where a large unhoused population has begun to congregate due to them being able to store their belongings in out coves. 

               VALIDO heard part of Ms. XXXX statement and immediately stated he was not masturbating but was standing there urinating. It should be noted that there are porta-pottys left in the Davis Sq area to prevent people from using the bathroom outside. When asked why he would not use those porta-pottys VALIDO stated "I really had to go and some people take a while in there".

               VALIDO was informed he was under arrest and was place in handcuffs. VALIDO was transported back to the Somerville Police station by the prison transport vehicle, Officer D Dottin, and booked in the usual manner by LT Holland.
