Somerville Police Department Issues Public Safety Update

25057421: The Somerville Police Department is currently investigating a report involving a juvenile who was approached by an unknown adult male near North Street and Powder House Boulevard. The alleged suspect reportedly touched the victim’s arm and attempted to kiss her on the cheek....

The suspect is described as a thin white male, approximately six feet tall, between 20 and 30 years old, with black curly hair and a black beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray vest over a white t-shirt and shorts.

While the investigation is ongoing, the Somerville Police Department urges parents and community members to remind young children to stay alert, avoid interactions with unfamiliar adults, and immediately report any suspicious encounters to a trusted adult.
